Masseria Mozzone is placed in the middle of a valley full of centuries-old olive trees, at the foot of the Itria valley, with a remarkable view on the coastline of Ostuni and Fasano. This is an eighteenth century farmhouse, surrounded by “trulli” (traditional Apulian dry stone huts with a conical roof). A unique place, where you can breathe quiet and beauty.
The Farmhouse The restoration of the farmhouse, with a great attention to detail, has kept not only the original structure, but also the typical materials of Apulia. Large bright spaces, with a predominance of pure white, grant a peaceful holiday, in a friendly and discrete environment.
Sightseeing Masseria Mozzone is located in one of the most beautiful areas of Apulia in a favorable position, from which you can reach by car in afew minutes Monopoli, Ostuni, Cisternino, Martina Franca, Locorotondo and Alberobello. Farther away, there are well-known places, such as Polignano a Mare, and the caves of Castellana. Nearby, there are also the main seaside resorts on the Adriatic sea, namely Torre Canne and Costa Merlata.
What you can expect from this retreat: Relax, quiet, beauty, yoga, seaside, nature Everyday we shall study in depth a different breathing technique. From the point of view of yoga, as we breath, over and above oxygen, we also absorb vital energy, prana, a word which, in Sanskrit means 2 things at the same time: breathing and life. According to yoga, the way in which we breathe is as important as life itself. In yoga, there are many tecniques for controlling our breathing, aiming at increasing life energy. This series of tecniques is known as pranayama, the 4th stage of yoga, according to Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra. If you breathe correctly, you can experience several benefits, as for example: A huge reduction of stress. Your blood is full of oxygen, which nourishes and repairs all the cells of your body, and helps you maintain your health. It also improves your thought, if the blood cells in your brains and in the other organs are better nourished and contain more oxygen, since they can fulfil their duty in a better way. The organs work better. Breathing and life force are strictly related: if we breathe better, our vitality increases. Our mind calms down. However, breathing alone is not enough: that is why we shall practice MovingYoga, a flowing, dynamic yoga style, in order to create inner force, tone our muscles, and improve our posture and suppleness.
