Flavio Arcangeli, Painter, Performer, and Yoga Teacher. Flavio obtained a degree in Architecture at the University of Rome. He has been painting since he was four years old: art is his great passion. He carried out painting laboratories for people with mental illnesses. Flavio started practicing Yoga in 1995. He studied Qi Gong and Tai Chi, postural and breathing gym, contemporary dance. He also practiced Greco-Roman wrestling and boxe at a professional level. In 1997, Flavio met the dancer Masaki Iwana, and followed his classes for over ten years at “La Maison du butoh Blanc”, Revellon, France. Flavio co-founded the dance company “LIOS”. He also co-directed the International butoh dance Festival “Trasform’azioni”, at the Furio Camillo Theatre in Roma. In 2006, one of his works was exhibited at the Italian Pavillon of the Venice “Biennale”, in collaboration with the University Roma 3. Flavio also collaborates with the New York performer Melissa Lohman, and keeps organizing laboratories and workshops on both conscious movement and physical training. In 2018, he completed the first-level (250 hours) Yoga teacher Training Course at the YogaArte school, and is currently following the second-level (500 hours)Yoga Teacher Training Course there. Flavio still nurtures his great passion for painting, dance, and yoga.
