MovingYoga
Gymnastics aiming at Health and Fitness – Yoga Gymnastics-

MovingYoga, introduced by the two founders of YogaArte, originated from the merger of different yoga styles, as well as from their shared passion for both dance and rhythms.
Through the 7 Rhythms of  MovingYoga, they propose a fluid,  dynamic yoga, in order to enhance inner force, develop muscle tone, improve posture and flexibility; they teach you how to move in tune with your own inner rhythm.

A remarkable attention is paid to the alignment of your body, as well as to suspension, expansion, and transition.

You move while listening to your inner breath,  and your movements start from the centre of your body, so that a balance is reached between poses and counter-poses. Body, music, breath, heart-beat, all merge together into harmonious sequences.

Each asana is experienced while paying attention to the movements of your spine, as well as to the activation of every single muscle, so that your body becomes well-toned and supple.  This style also relaxes your muscles, as well as your connective tissues. It stimulates your endocrine, lymphatic and cardio-respiratory systems. Moving yoga restores balance to your nervous system, and introduces changes in your emotional system.  Indeed, by acting upon the balance of your psycho-emotional sphere, it gives you a higher self-consciousness.

Both movements and sequences may either be  dynamic or softer,  fluid, similar to a moving meditation. The tools which help you reach a suspension of your thinking are asanas, sequences, attention to your gesture, as well as words, music, and sound.

Actually, word, sound and movement give a shape to reality; the quality of the words’ and sounds’ vibe bring you to slowly slip inside yourself.

RHYTHM, MUSIC, AND VOICE

The sense of rhythm is important for the human being. Indeed, it helps us coordinate, understand and listen to our heart. Through rhythm, we realize when we are tired, whether we should stop and rest. We are all endowed with  the sense of rhythm: we should simply discover how to awaken it. That is why we should listen to our own body, speed, and pattern, so that we can move to the right rhythm.

Rhythm helps us improve the coordination of our movements. This experience may go on for weeks, or even months: each pupil according to his/her own time.

Music, which accompanies each lesson, helps you perceive your own inner rhythm, so as to realize sequences where asanas are not simply a series of gestures, but rather parts of a single  gesture. With the Seven Rhythms of Moving Yoga, each class becomes a unique experience. Moments of passive listening to the movements of your body and to asanas, alternate with  highly dynamic moments, as well as with a cathartic release of emotional tensions. Each gesture has its own time, since it may be performed either quickly or slowly.

The Voice of the teacher, together with the Music, gives the rhythm of breathing and asanas, thus supporting the practice, just like a thread which ties up each stage, with cues about holding or releasing the pose, speeding up or suspending the rhythm, according to the type and aims of each class.

In Moving Yoga there are no levels, but the intensity of each class varies. This approach aims at bringing everybody close to Yoga, teaching it in an   immediate and entertaining fashion. Therefore, Moving Yoga is aimed at all beginners, who want to discover this discipline, but also experienced practitioners, who prefer a more engaging, dynamical, and complete practice.
By paying attention to rhythm, breathing and body movements, MovingYoga makes each practice stimulating, so as to identify each sequence with a form of art, which leads to the expression of your own true self.

TECHNIQUE: THE 7 RHYTHMS OF MOVINGYOGA

The sequences of MovingYoga are 7 and we define them as rhythms:
1)Tribal Rhythm
2) Change Rhythm
3) Heart Rhythm
4) Balance Rhythm
5) Rhythm of Inner Listening
6) Rhythm of Harmony
7) Rhythm of the Sound of Silence.

The sequences of the Seven Rhythms help create a wide variety of yoga poses,  and move your whole body, in its physical, emotional and mental dimensions. Seven rhythms have been devised in order to produce harmonious sequences, and dance with asanas, so as to dive into your own self and work – at the same time - on a physical, mental and  energetic level.
Each rhythm involves a muscular and skeletal work, which enables your body to move and flow.
Each Rhythm/Sequence is composed of a series of asanas, which may be adapted and changed according to the pupils’ skills and features.
